Level Week 8 - Boba Tea

     I love boba. It has simply become my favorite drink, after regular coffee of course. With that being said my favorite type of boba to get is coffee flavored boba, so I get to drink my two favorite drinks at the same time. I tried this beverage for the first time a couple of years ago at the Lehigh Valley Mall with my sister. She introduced it to me actually. My first time trying it I made a rookie mistake and got the same flavor that my sister got. Due to that rookie mistake, I thought that I didn't like boba and never wanted to try it again. After a couple of weeks, my sister and I went back to the mall to get something and she got herself a different flavor. She kept telling me to try it but I was scared that I wouldn't like it again. I finally decided to try it and that was the moment my life changed forever. 

    I remember specifically the flavor that she got, it was vanilla with rose. Ever since that drink, I stop at the little boba cart in the middle of the mall every time I am there. Unfortunately, that is the closest spot I know around me to get boba. They are mostly in Allentown, Bath, Easton, or New Jersey. With corona, I have not been able to get it in a long long time. A lot of people say that I can make it at home but to take the time and boil the tapioca balls, to get the right kind of tea and milk, to find flavors I can add to the drink is just a lot of work. I also know that I will not be able to make it taste the way that I want it to. 

    My brother and I are sharing a car at the moment since he is supposed to be leaving to go abroad soon. With that being said he wanted to use the car the other day to go out with his friend. So me being the nosey little sister I am did not give him the keys until he told me what they were going to do. I am so happy that I did that because he told me he was going to drive to New Jersey with his friend to go to this famous boba shop. At that moment I knew what I had to do. I begged him to bring me back a cup of boba tea. I annoyed him so much that he finally agreed. After 9 months I had my first sips of boba again. It was a moment of happiness. I wish I could explain why I love boba so much but I can not understand myself. I recommend it to anyone that hasn't tried it before because it is honestly life-changing. I mean it!
