This past week I have been going with my dad to look at cars. I've wanted to start driving for a long time now, so getting a car is something really exciting happening in my life. I feel like once you get a car, you are able to have a lot more freedom and independence, and it just makes life a lot easier. Most of my friends are either just starting to drive, or have been driving for a while now, so I have been able to ask them to drive me places. However, it gets annoying constantly having to ask for rides and feeling guilty afterward.
I got my license all the way back in August of 2020, so it's been quite a while. My mom was very stingy about letting me drive once I got my license, so I've only ever driven a handful of times. Now that I'm getting a car, I'm honestly a little nervous just because I can't remember the last time I've been allowed to use a car. I think I'll get the hang of it after a week or so, though.
My mom finally agreed to let me get a car because it became too much of a hassle for my dad. Right now, he has to drive me to and from school, to work, to practice, to my friends' houses, etc. on top of his busy schedule at work. So, another car was needed. I'm most likely going to be sharing it with my younger brother, but I'm still very grateful and excited.
