This school year has been rough for me for a couple reasons; being online, working, and my best friend went off to college. I used to spend every day and every night for almost 3 years straight with my friend Ashleigh. Her and I met through a mutual friend, and ever since we met we've been almost inseparable. When I need her, she's there. She is truly the only person I've met that understands me. She is like family to me. Her and my mom are close, and we even took her on our family vacation to OBX in summer 2019. Ashleigh is the person I trust the most with anything.
This past August, it was time for us to say goodbye for a little bit. Ashleigh went to Kutztown University for college. I am honestly so proud of her. She's been through a lot and being able to see her go off to college and do things that make her happy is amazing to see. The only rough part is that I don'
t get to see her much anymore. We text and face time each other all the time but it still doesn't make up for the missed sleepovers and adventures we used to on together. I got my license this year, which makes it easier for me to see her. I drive up to her apartment as much as I can. Even though she's an hour away rather than the normal 15 minutes, we always find a way to keep in touch and see each other as much as possible.

Even though your friend only went to college, I have recently lost a best friend and I was able to relate to some of the things in your response. It hurts passing her house almost everyday, knowing I can't see her anymore. While she still may be close, she seems so far away.
