If I had to choose, my favorite Trinidadian rapper would be Nicki Minaj. Her birth name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, and she was born on December 8, 1982, making her 38 years old today. She is a musical genius and icon, and she has developed an endless amount of classics including Bang Bang (featuring Jesse J and Ariana Grande), Super Bass, Starships, and Barbie Tingz. Most of these songs have been part of the foundation of who I am. She's helped me through so much in life, and I owe a big part of who I am to Nicki.
Not only is she a musical prodigy, but she also expresses herself in amazing ways. Her constantly changing hair color is just one of the many amazing aspects she embodies. Some fun facts about Nicki are that she has an obvious love of fashion, and she used to work at Red Lobster. I just think it's amazing that such a simple girl can end up making inspiring music for millions of people worldwide. She truly is the embodiment of the word "success."
While Nicki has, just like every other celebrity, had scandals and feuds, she has a steady fan-base to back her up at all times. All in all, Nicki is hands-down one of the most iconic figures to roam the earth. Her success is unmatched
